Business Workflow

This is not a live system, so I am able to remove and re-set up custom entities if needed

I have been trying to set up a business workflow. I have a custom entity called Charges.

I am trying to set up a business workflow on accounts. I have tried 1 - N relationship with charges, but when I get to he stage to enter charges, the fields required are displayed, but no data can be entered. This stage on the on the business workflow has a padlock on it. I am testing this as an administrator so I don't think it is a security issue.

Any help would be very helpful

Hi as you can see in another business work flow, I have the same issue. This business workflow is on Accounts and 'Originating Accounts' is a custom entity. Again, there is a 1:N relationship from accounts to Originating Accounts. The previous stages of the flow which deals with data for Accounts works fine, but as soon as I get to this stage , I get the field labels shown but no option to enter any data. Im not sure if the custom entity has been set up correctly which is causing the issue or if I am doing something wrong with the business Work Flow

    Hello PeteN,

You see a padlock in a business stage only when your business process flow span across entities. The fields in 'Enter Originating Account' are included in a different entity. Hence, you won't be able to enter data in them. The whole process is known as Stage Gating.
