How to create a web resource in png format

Hi,

I need to know how to pass an image to the button using web resource in ms crm ,

Please help me

Hi,

Can you provide some more details about your requirement ?? sorry but not able to understand your requirement. Do you want to add image to Ribbon button ??

Hi Ramesh,

You create png web resource just like any other web resource. So when you create a web resource, you select type as png and upload the png file.

You can refer the below msdn link for more details on how to use it for ribbon button etc.

Hi Ramesh,

To create a web resource in png format, you can new a web resource with type 'PNG format' and upload the file.

which button do you mean here? If you are referring to ribbon button, you can select web resource in Ribbon Workbench under button's Properties:

Hi Ramesh,

To save the png as the web resource, just open your solution, go to web resources, and create a new web resource of type png. Browser for the png and save it. After saving it you will see the full url of the web resource appear on the dialog (at the bottom)

You can use the web resource anywhere on your CRM site but using the relative url:

/WebResources/new_mypngresource.png

This can be inside Ribbon Workbench, another web resource, style sheet, etc...
