Removal of validation for Batch and location in production picking list journal

Dear All, 

While posting production picking list journal, it's showing the validation as The value 'LC000013' in field 'Location' is not found in the related table 'Locations'. - I understand that I need to transfer the material from respective warehouse to location. 

I am looking for the solution to deactivate/remove the condition/validation of the material picking. So from any location or warehouse, I can pick the material.

    Do you have the BOM setup with this location? Can you elaborate how you did setup the system and your way of working?

    What are you using locations if you dont care about them? If you want to pick from any warehouse why are you insisting on physical inventory at this level? This all comes down to the dimension group setup, but this is throughout the business. I am not sure why you would NOT want to control stock at a location level, you store it there, you know where it is, you pick it from there, without basic inventory controls "where" it is will be the least of your problems as the accuracy will also disipate.

    I do understand the importence of location for accurate inventory mangement and we do intend to use it. But by issue is to allow to pick from any location instead of making departmental transfer for materials in order to use it while making picking list journal .

    I do have formula setup for these items and while creating picking list journal I need to First transfer materials from location A to location B . This what I want to disable as I intend that system shuold allow me to use material from any location.

    So what is stopping you, on the confirmation of the pick you need to decide where the stock is, tell it that the stock is "picked" from location A and dont at any point tell the system you actually moved it to "B". 

    You could also reserve the stock at pick and it would reserve it at A (depending where else in the warehouse it also existed) and then consume from A, then the movement you do but dont want to reflect happens and you carry on.
