Dynamics GP Trusted App Will Not Install for the Web Client

Hello:

In GP 2013 Web Client, the icon in the lower right-hand corner advising to install the Dynamics GP Trusted App appears.  I have tried clicking on it to install the app.  But, the installation goes very quick.  Obviously, the installation is not happening.  Otherwise, the icon that I just mentioned would not keep showing up in the Web Client.

So, I have tried saving the app's .msi file to the desktop and C drive and uninstalling and installing.  Again, the installation goes very quick.  So, the installation is not happening.  The icon in the web client for the Dynamics GP Trusted App, again, still appears in the Web Client.

Next, I tried using the DOS Command Prompt to run the .msi file as an Administrator for the .msi file on the desktop.  When I did so, I got an error message saying, "The installer has encountered an unexpected error installing this package.  This may indicate a problem with this package.  The error code is 2607."

Afterward, I tried this Command prompt method using the following location of the .msi file:  C:\Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics\GP Web Client\GPweb folder.  This gave me an error saying, "This installation package could not be opened.  Verify that the package exists and that you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer package."

I read a posting for this issue and it states that the Silverlight app is not trusted with the local machine.  So, I took the following steps, but the value mentioned is already set to "1":
•Start -> Run -> and type regedit then select OK.
•In the left hand pane navigate to: Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Silverlight.
•In the right hand pane, find the KEY named: AllowElevatedTrustAppsInBrowser.
•Double click on the KEY to open it.
•Ensure the value is set to a 1.
•Close the registry editor.

In any case, how do I get the Dynamics GP Trusted App successfully installed?

Thanks!

John

The second step in the following blog resolved this:
