In our previous version (10.0.6) when we submit a PO workflow, account structure and advance rules were validated at the time of workflow submission (with an alert notification that the dimension value is blank) while after the upgrade to 10.0.8 it does not and it straight way submit for approval even if mandatory dimensions are missing, any clue why or is it a bug?

Is there any changes made in the account structure anytime before or after upgrading to 10.0.8 ?
Is there any changes made in the workflow configuration?
Are you getting any error after submission of the document in workflow approval process?

There is absolutely no change made by us. It is exactly the same configurations and workflow.
Not sure if this could be a bug or not. Are you getting this in all environments DEV, UAT, PROD or only in PROD?
Better to create a support request to Microsoft so that they can suggest something on this; possibly any hotfix.

Yes, so far noticed in UAT and Preprod.
The worst part is that you can submit the workflow with dimensions value like "%%^&%()$$" and the system lets you submit the workflow. The pre-valadation for the workflow is not working.
There is hotfix I can see in LCS as below but this is related to Invoice proposal posting!

Better create a support ticket with MS and keep us posted on this thread.

Is the dimension mandatory check a customization in your environment? Or is it a configuration in the workflow setup?
Hi Andre, we are using the standard account structure with department as a mandatory field and blank not allowed. We also do not have any such configuration in workflow.
If you have still a test environment on 10.0.6, can you create a screenshot of the error message when it is not meeting the validation?
As mentioned by André, please test this in any available 10.0.6 version.
Else; if this is the case, then you can define an additional workflow step to validate the "Blank" dimension in the workflow configuration itself like below.
Therefore what system will do is; whenever the document is submitted for approval, system will fetch if there is any blank department dimension value available in the document or not. And based on that; it will be routed through an approval process where the approver can review the document for Blank dimension.
Kindly test this too in UAT environment and update on this thread.
