Dynamics 365 on prem Installation - Wildcard SSL certificate

Hi,

we are on process of migration from AX2012 R3 to D365 F&O on premises.

while going through the installation guide lines MS has suggested the on wild card as below.

(You can use the wildcard SSL certificate for your domain to combine the Service Fabric Server certificate and the AOS SSL certificate.

Here is an example of a Service Fabric Server certificate that is combined with an AOS SSL certificate.)

Please let us know how this wildcard SSL certificate will work and which to procure if going with Godaddy.

    Hi Avinash,
     
    For a production environment:
    • If your hosted domain is local, use ADCS certificates (Active directory certificate services)
    • If public, purchase wildcard certificates from ssl/godaddy/any other 
    The current LCS deployment scripts for on-premise allow configuring the ConfigTemplate.xml with the following flags (example):
    <Certificate type="ServiceFabricClient" exportable="true" generateSelfSignedCert="false" generateADCSCert="true" disabled="false">
