How to help with value formating ?

We would like to make sure people enter data in the right format. For instance, for a phone number field used by our shipping company, we need to remove all spaces, and avoid the international prefix. Is it possible to customize a form for that? With some javascript for instance? Or maybe a cleanup by powerautomate ? Or do we have to ask a developer for that ? I would like to keep it flexible, so that we can change the rules and add new ones when necessary, if possible without having to ask to a D365F&O dev. Is that possible ? Thanks for any feedback ! :)
I have the same question (0)

Hi FrancoisT, Yes, its possible to validate the value entered in the fields and either throw error or rectify data like removing spaces, international prefix etc but I don't think it can be done without Dev.

    Hi Francois,

Validate is possible and it would require developer to meet your requirements.

    Thanks,
    Girish S.

    Hi Francois,

At To-Increase, we offer a solution called Data Quality Studio, where you can setup validation rules with configuration instead of achieving it with development. One of the options is setting up data patterns where you can specify the format for e.g. a phone or email address.
You can learn more on our website: To-Increase - MDM - Data Quality Studio - Product Page

    Hi Francois,
If you contact the developer, you can see information about validation fields in the links below for reference:

As everyone suggested I think it's not possible without D365 Developer.

My solution would be in modified or modified field for this field of this form / table resp., I will remove extra spaces and reassign the value and will do parameterize. So that you will have that flexibility to change the format whenever necessary.
