Register material consumption on the production floor execution interface (WMS-enabled) (ADJUST MATERIAL)

Hi everyone!

Can somebody explain to me how to use this new functionality for the production floor execution?

- Which is its purpose? Can I register picking lists choosing location, batch and all the dimensions for the consumed material?

- Which are the restrictions? can it be used for all kinds of products?

- How this functionality can work with the picking raw material work?

Thanks in advance. Is very frustrating not to have any detail about it or any documentation by Microsoft. I read a small explanation of how it works but, in my case, it is not working as expected, so, if you have any kind of information from personal experience with it, let the community know!

Have you checked the online documentation: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/supply-chain/production-control/production-floor-execution-use#adjust-material-consumption-and-make-material-reservations

From the intro: "Workers can adjust material consumption for each production job. This functionality is used in scenarios where the actual quantity of materials that was consumed by a production job was more or less than the planned quantity. Therefore, it must be adjusted to keep the inventory levels current.

Workers can also make reservations on the batch and serial numbers of materials. This functionality is used in scenarios where a worker must manually specify which material batch or serial numbers were consumed, to meet material traceability requirements."

I believe the on-line documentation answers all these questions.

Hi Roger, this feature is still in preview, and we are planning some corrections because there are issue picking serial and batch numbers for WMS-enabled items where the batch and serial number dimensions are defined below location in the reservation hierarchy.

I know it's an old thread but can someone tell me if there is a way to turn this functionality on and off.

When we report feedback on a batch order the Adjust material form is always opened automatically.

I've tried to turn of the Adjust material feature in the settings for productin floor execution but that doesn't help.
