Hello Folks,

We are currently using CRMInnovation(3rd Party Solution) AutoNumber solution to generate auto number for all of our entities in our org, possibly thinking to replace it with new auto number feature released in D365 v9

I am trying to find out answers for below before we take such move

1) Is it possible to get 10 digit sequence number with out any "-" or dates in autonumber

2) Can we control the sequence counter? or the what number the sequence should starts with?

3) How to populate old records with auto numbers?

4) Can we manually overwrite the values in the auto number fields?

It will be very help if any such observations are listed out. Let me know.

Take a look at AutoNumber Manager on XRM Toolbox.

This should give you the examples of what you can do with the tool:
