Re: Multiple Delivery Date in Purchase Order

Hi, Could I be able to assign different delivery date for the Sales Order? ie. say we two line items for an order. We would like one item to go first and then we will send the final item to the customer. So will it be possible for us to schedule delivery of line items (as in the order) to our customer?

    HI,

Dale suggestion is one way.   The other way is to use the blanket PO function.    Downside to the blanket PO is that only one item is one the PO, then have multiple releases for that one item.

We have a separate line for the same item on the same PO, then place the volume needed for that given data and assign the "Required Date" on the screen Purchasing Item Detail Inquiry Zoom (you get to this screen by clicking on the arrow icon (--->) to the right of Vendor Item.  This field prints on our purchase orders so the supplier knows when we need to receive the material.  So, line 1 would show item ABC for a volume of 50 required by Sept 20 then line two would show item ABC for a volume of 75 required by Oct 5 and so forth.

    Hope this helps.

    Best regards,

    Dale
