Fixed Asset Purchase Order Prepayment - General Posting Setup

I have a Purchase Order for Fixed Asset. I tried to enter Prepayment % = 50. I get following error message.

The General Posting Setup does not exist. Identification fields and values: Gen. Bus. Posting Group='DOMESTIC BSN',Gen. Prod. Posting Group=''

Then I tried to enter the missing combination in the General Posting Setup, it does not allow me to enter blank value for Gen. Prod. Posting Group, I get this error.

Gen. Prod. Posting Group must be filled in. Enter a value

Please advise, thank you.

Fixed Asset Purchase Order Prepayment - General Posting Setup

1. On your fixed asset card check the FA Posting Group Assigned

2. On this FA Posting Group, check the G/L Account selected for Acquisition Cost Account

3. Open the G/L Account and assign it a Gen. Prod. Posting Group

4. The system will look at the combination of the Gen. Bus. Posting Group assigned to your vendor, and the Gen. Prod. Posting Group assigned to the G/L Account above to select the G/L Account to post your Prepayment Amount to

5. Delete your old purchase order and create a new one. This is required for the new purchase order to have the updated Prod. Posting Group on the G/L Account above
