any help would be beneficiail in figuring out how to implelemnt MRP

H Thomas - there are intallation and set up manuals available on the GP CD's. Also the various module manuals contain module specific set up information. You could start with these.
However, these will only cover set up and installation tasks. Implementation is a whole other ball game and no there really are no standard GP implementation manuals. You could look at Microsoft Sure Setp methodology documentation which set out a framework for ERP implementation projects. But this is just a framework for managing projects.
There is no one answer or manual that will tell you what you need in order to implement GP. I would highly recommend reaching out to somebody who specialises in GP implementations - there are a lot of different considerations and ways to implement GP and an experienced person will make sure you get the decisions right first time - and not waste time and effort correcting / changing / re-configuring later on.
The right peron will allow you to do as much of the implementation work as you want / are capable of, and will transfer knowledge so that you and your organisation are empowered after the initial implementation work is complete. Working ith the right person, you should be in a position to tackle the next implementation yourself. Without knowing your background or capabilities or experience, there are a whole host of technical skills that you will need to draw on for a successful implementation - not just GP skills - you will need to install and configure SQL and SQL reporting services, perhaps modify standard GP reports in GP Report Writer, create / modify reports and custom charts and KPI's in SQL reporting services etc. etc.

Hi Thomas - I see by your other posts in the community that you are alerady using GP in your organisation. This makes life a whole lot easier for you. Depending on exactly what you need to do - it may just be acase of setting up a new company - configuring its settigs along the same lines as your exsting company and entering customers, suppliers, GL accounts and opening balances manually.
Best to ask specific questions about areas where you are running into difficulty. I.e. How do Icreate a new company in GP? How do I grant users access to this company? etc.

My wife asked me to fix the oven over the holiday. I found the manual, but then decided to save myself a ton of time and money by calling a professional. It cost me $300 and I had a very nice holiday.
Please call someone that knows what they are doing before you have to re-do everything and pay for it the hard way.

Thomas, are you already using Manufacturing in GP and just need to implement MRP? Do you want to also implement CRP? As Ian and Brian have stated, there are no real implementation guides available for GP, let alone GP Manufacturing/MRP. Best to consult with someone who knows GP MRP for help. Shoot me an email if you need some assistance finding someone in your area.
