When attempting to configure the Twitter account under Settings>>Customer Engagement>>Social Media Accounts, we're receiving a generic error message even though it shows us as being logged into Twitter when we're attempting the connection. Logging out of Twitter and attempting to go through the login screen produces the same result (see images).
Any ideas how to troubleshoot this? We obviously have the correct account but Dynamics and Twitter do not want to connect. Other social accounts worked fine.
This is just a Twitter issue.
Hey there! I know this post is old, but I just stumbled upon it and wanted to chime in. Do you still have such problems? Have you been able to find a solution? If not, you should buy old Twitter accounts on https://bestpvaaccounts.com/twitter-old-accounts/ as an alternative. These accounts have been around for a while and have built up some history and reputation. They might be more reliable for you. Good luck, and I hope you get your Twitter connected. Keep us updated on your issue.
Hi,
Would you please provide the channel names which lead to failure and success?
Thanks for attempting to help. After much trial and error, it finally worked by NOT naming the channel just Twitter. It worked when we used a different name. I'm not sure why but this was the only change that resulted in a successful connection attempt.
The other accounts we named something other than just the social channel name and they worked the first time.
Hi,
I have tried to reproduce your issue but failed.
Has the following statement been shown after you clicked the "Authorize app" button?
If not, it is recommended to raise a support ticket to MS for further help.
