Running Dynamics SL on Windows 7 Professional 64 Bit

I can't seem to find a solid answer to confirm if this is possible? I've tried this on a client system and the only error that is given upon SL launch is "Microsoft Dynamics SL has stopped working".

    We've had some problems at one client... we keep having to reinstall the client... happens on various workstations at various times... just often enough to be annoying.  Microsoft has given us a tracer to try to track it down.

    I think it was "Install Watch"... they are suspecting that something is being installed that "breaks" SL.

    Well, I have just received word from MBS tech suport that unfortunately, SL 7.0SP1 (service pack1) is not supported on a Windows 7 64 bit environment. The only version of SL supported on a 64 bit environment is 7.0FP1 (feature pack 1) and that is the only version that they know will work correctly.

    According to MBS tech support the only build that is supported on Windows 7 64-bit is SL 7.0 FP1

    If installing a workstation with Windows 7 64bit that is installing from the server running SL 7.0 SP2, do we need to reinstall the server with SL 7.0 FP1 to be compatible with the 64 bit workstation, or do we install from the FP1 .exe wkstn to load only the client version on the 64 bit workstation?

    You need to have 7.0FP1 or later to run on 64Bit. We upgraded all our 7.0 sites t to 7.0SP4. There are a lot of fixes to 7.0SP1 in SP4.
