Team Owner on Dynamics

Posted on by 20

We have a Sales Team  at our company, who each own various accounts so they are named as owner on Dynamics.

However for some accounts, there is not a specific owner, but rather the team as whole own these accounts.

Is there a way that I can set up a ghost account (so to speak) and then assign these shared accounts to that?

Thank you

Vicky

Just like you have teams in the company, you can have teams in Dynamics, and they can own records in Dynamics (assuming you have assigned a security role to such a team)

Yes you can do that. The team should have a security role, but it can even be a read only security role.

You can also set a different bogus team as owner.

Just make sure the permissions on who can access those accounts is correct, so that the actual users that need access to it do have that access.

    Thanks,

    Aric
