Hi All,

I am new to Microsoft 365 Development and created a 30 days trial Dynamic CRM account.

My Requirement is Simple:

  1. I want to CRUD operation on Case/Incident table.
  2. Once the Case/Incident is closed, I want to send a request to External API.

I tried Googling but couldn't figure out where to start.

Could anyone point me in the right direction or send some useful resources?

Thanks Much.

Sudhir

    Hi Sudhir Gupta,

You can call plugin on change of case status as closed. Inside plugin you can call your external API with the help of HttpWebRequest and HttpWebResponse class

    Hi Sudhir Gupta,

    1. CRUD operation actually already in place. If you ask how to customize it. There are lot of things you need to learn. You need to know first the out of the box features. You can try download the Dynamic CRM SDK to get know the feature.

    2. You can make plugin to do this. But you again, there are lot of solutions to achieve this. You can check microsoft flow to doing this.

You can use OOB CRUD operation.

You can  write a plugin/workflow and register it on Update of case(incident) and call external web api from it.

    Thanks all for your help.

Can we access the crm data using rest api (say postman). If yes, can you please provide the link?

I have one below but hard to understand.

    docs.microsoft.com/.../mt607901%28v%3dcrm.8%29
