Here's an odd one for you guys ...
Attempting to print all black labels (to cover up spots on the shelf where old tags were left and will not come off cleanly) and it works, but the printer will shut off after 16 labels. To turn the printer back on, the plug has to be pulled from the wall and then plugged back in ... unplugging power from the printer doesn't do it, only unplugging the 'power block' does.
Any ideas? Or am I asking the printer to do something it wasn't meant to?

Lay out labels out in the sun or run an clothing iron over them.
you can try uline. They have various sizes
As always Ed, thank you for the help!! Pretty much what I guessed was happening, but wanted some confirmation on it.
Now does anyone know where I could find 2.25x1.25 black stickers/labels?? haha
It is not recommended to continuously print all black on thermal labels, You over heat the thermal head. This manifests as the problem you describe. It would be better to scrape off the old labels, or buy a roll of all black labels. Also this would save you time and resources.
