SL 7.0 is not Posting LAbor OH to jobs how 6.5 did?

I have upgraded to SL7.0 from 6.5  and now I am having differences in how my Labor Overhead is posting.  previously my Labor OH(taxes, insurance, etc) was posted out per project and task by emp by the number of hours they worked on the project. Now it seems that it is nowhere to be found.  Any suggestions on to how to find where it is going and get it corrected??

    Hi Nathan,

This bug and the corresponding hot-fix was strictly a payroll fix.  It corrected the way payroll was updating project.  You should see the allocations to project from payroll working as expected on new payroll batches.  Be sure to let me know how the next payroll run goes.

There is no way to auto fix the old batches.  It would be a manual process of project charge entries or journal entries in and out.   Please let me know how else we can assist with this issue.

    Carolyn,

I have upgraded SL to SP4 and installed the hotfix.  I have tried to run allocator to recalc the Labor OH to the projects, but that is not working.  Do you have any suggestions to get the several months of labor OH data out to the projects?  Normally this would have gone out when I allocate each week after payroll.

    Hi Nathan,

I uploaded the hot-fix file to our file exchange server.  See if you can download it from this location.  Let me know if you have any difficulties.

    Hi Nathan,

I cannot seem to locate the hot-fix on the KnowledgeBase.  I am researching and if I can't locate it, I'll provide an alternate link for you to use.  I'll update this post again shortly.  I'm sorry for the inconvenience.

Carolyn, I have done some searches on the customersource web site for the hotfix.  I have downloaded SP4, but trying to find the hotfix for bug 23414.

    Nathan,

We had another customer with the same situation that upgraded from 6.5, didn't change anything, and this issue was occuring for them.  The applied the hot-fix and the issue was corrected.  So it it is possible for you to upgrade to SP4 and then apply the hot-fix, we have confidence that the deductions will allocate correctly.  Please let me know how it goes.

    Carolyn,

I have checked and all of the employer paid deductions are marked with allocate deduction amounts.  That is checked for all of them.  So if I understand you correctly for this to work correctly I will need to upgrade to SP4 and apply the hotfix for bug 23414?  We only have one company for SL, does this still apply.  Let me know and I will check this over on monday am and see about applying the hotfix and SP4

Re: SL 7.0 is not Posting LAbor OH to jobs how 6.5 did?

    Nathan,

The field that we were looking for is in the lower left hand corner of the screen.  It used to be a check box but now it contains a pull down.

We think your issue relates to bug 23414.  The description of the bug is as follows:  EmployER paid deductions do not allocate and update projects correctly when set to allocate Expenses, Deduction Sub source=Earnings and a second company is used in the detail area of Time and Expense.

There is a hot-fix for version 7.0 SP4.  Would it be possible for you to upgrade to SP4 and install the hot-fix for this bug?

In Payroll Deduction Maintenance I do not have an Allocate Deduction Amts setting that I can see anywhere.  I do however have the Update Project Setting set to Non-Billable.  The expense sub source is set to Earnings, as it is determined from payroll.  I enter time in Time and Expense.  I use  Project Timesheet with Rate Amt Entry TM.PTA.00
