Public URL for the Invoices / PDFs from D365 F&O

Hi all,

I am using Twilio to integrate WhatsApp with our F&O.

When a Sales Order is invoiced, the Twilio API is called, and a WhatsApp message is sent to the user.

Twilio can send media like (images, pdf and videos), but the media URL should be public.

Can we get the public URL of the Invoices/PDFs from the D365 FO of the Sales Order or Purchase Order? So that we send it the WhatsApp using the media URL with Twilio.

Does anyone have any information or suggestions regarding the issue? Please suggests.

Hi Raj,

There is no public URL out of the box to access the linked internal Dynamics 365 BLOB storage. You can create an own storage account and save PDFs over there and then share the files with clients.

Can you please share your insights on how we can share the invoice copy directly from D365 FO using some triggers / Business Events over WhatsApp?

Hi all,

Using the below Link:

Generating Public URL for File from DocuRef Table and Sending URL via API in D365 FO

We are able to get the URL of the Document attached with the SO/PO or any other transactions. but the generated URL was directly downloading the attachment in the system. We want to get the URL with extension in the link itself (like .pdf or .xlsx etc.). which I think was not possible using that article.

Does anyone have any suggestion\approach regarding the query?
