Hi All,

With the new strategy of having emails stored on Azure Blob instead of dataverse, how do we estimate our cost interms of storage and also dollar when it comes to this?

Assuming i m a new client with 1 PRD, 1 UAT, 1 DEV + Sales base tenant + Marketing attached with 8 million of email sent out a year average.

How can i do a calculation on how much this azure blob is gonna cost my organization?

Estimating the cost of storing emails on Azure Blob storage involves considering factors such as the storage requirements (size and quantity of emails) and data transfer rates (uploading and accessing emails). You can refer to Azure's Blob storage pricing documentation for specific pricing details,
including storage capacity tiers and redundancy options.
Multiply the estimated costs by the number of environments you have (e.g., PRD, UAT, DEV) to get an idea of the total cost across all environments.
Keep in mind any additional costs for data retention policies, programmatic access, or other required features.
Azure pricing can vary, so it's advisable to use the Azure Pricing Calculator and Azure Cost Management and Billing for accurate estimates and monitoring.

    Hi J Tan,

In fact, dynamic marketing often uses dataverse, which is priced in relation to the storage space consumed,

but Azure Blob also takes into account the charges for operations, so the price calculation becomes complicated.

The common point between them is that the most storage consuming part when sending emails is often the attachments, so it is hard to judge its storage usage just by the number of emails sent.

It is recommended that you use the pricing guide provided with the product:
