Reporting Historical changes per employee

Posted on by 285

Is there a way to run a report and/or SmartList that shows when an employee has any type of change, especially payrate?

I'm trying to create a report for our Auditors that lists any employee change (payrate, termination, transfer positions, etc) date changed and the user who changed it.  The Auditors want this report run on a bi-weekly basis before we process payroll.  Our company has the HR module.

Thanks for all your help!

I would talk to your partner about implementing the historical pay rate feature.  Pretty sure once it's set up, it simply makes updates the historical table when new information is entered.  However, I am not absolutely sure if the user who posted the change is part of the information that is stored in the historical information.  You'll have to look into that with your partner.

Anita - this is a link within the forum discussing tracking changes.  One of the items mentioned is a tool I just recently was informed about but have not installed that is a tracking tool.   You might want to get with your partner on that one.

    Thanks Kit

We have the HR module.  How do we utilize the historical pay rates feature?

Unless you have the HR module and utilize the historical pay rates feature, the system does not keep a history of the changes.  Changing the pay rate simply overwrites what was there.
