    Dear Adrian,

Thank you very much for the update.

That means we need to install only Front End Server Roles in DMZ and Deployment Server Roles in non DMZ Server?

And also where we need to install SSL Certificate whether in Front End Server that was in DMZ or need install in Deployment Server in non DMZ Server?

And also how the routing will work from Front End Server from DMZ to non DMZ Deployment Server?

Can you please help me on these questions as well.

    Hi VenkataSambasivaRao K,

Front End Server and Deployment Administration Server is a node of the NLB virtual server that runs Windows Server and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Server with the Front End Server and Deployment Administration Server roles.

The text and diagram show a possible deployment that lets users access Microsoft Dynamics 365 through the Internet by implementing Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS) supported by Front End Server roles that are isolated from user and resource domains on a perimeter network (also known as DMZ, demilitarized zone, and screened subnet) model.

You can find more information on this particular model in pages 81-84 of the Planning, Deploying, and Maintaining Guide for Dynamics 365.

    RE: IFD Installation

    Hi,

I would suspect that the Front End Server refers to the WebServer (IIS) and the Deployment Server refers to the one hosting the CRM Deployment Manager. However I suggest you confirm this with your customer. Best to double check rather than start implementing based on assumptions.

    Regards,

    Radu
