Review registration submissions before adding to attendees list

Hey D365fM Forum - we have a use case around event registrations where the client wants to manually review all registration submissions before the contact is registered for the event.  (The key use case here is to exclude competitors from free-loading).  Has anyone worked through a similar scenario and could share how they solved this, ideally using the event portal?  Thanks

I have the same question (0)

Hey Richard - it seems like your client wants to create a "waitlist" and then have people register from the waitlist after his approval. Also, it appears that these are free events.

Have you tried simply to keep the event capacity to 0 and set Waitlist to "true"? Don't allow people to register automatically but you can go ahead and register them one by one (or many at one time) from the waitlist.

    Does this help?

    Thanks,

    Shravan

    Hi Richard Britton,

As per my understanding, it seems like this functionality is currently not supported. I suggest you to visit Ideas portal and add this feature request.  Our PMs regularly review and community votes do impact the roadmap.

    I hope this helps,

    Best Regards,

    Abhinav sunku.

    Hi Richard,

Contact(or Lead) records will be immediately created after visitors submitted their information.

I found that Event entity has been enabled in Customer insight sync but I didn't find Insight tab in Event form.

For your key use case, as per my understand, would you like to prevent spam registration?

If so, you could read this discuss for Invitation Only Events.

    Regards,

    Clofly
