Location of Out Of The Box Templates

Hello

I understand that Dynamics 365 ships with several Word templates such as  Opportunity Summary, Campaign Summary, Case Summary, Invoice, Account Summary etc.

I was told that these templates were located in Settings>Advanced Settings > Templates

I am on 2020 release wave 2 enabled. Server version: 9.2.21012.00146 Client version: 1.4.2134-2101.2 and this menu option does not exist.

Can anyone please tell me where these templates are now stored?

Thanks and have a good weekend

I have the same question (0)

hello, indeed the templates exist in the advanced settings, if you are unable to find them then someone has changed your ribbon so you can either modify your ribbon to display those entities again or search on them in the advanced find

    Hi,

Here are some steps to troubleshoot

    1. Please make sure you have correct security roles

    2. Try to check if they are available from entity form

    3. Try to refer Classical (old app ) and see you can see it there

you should see them in the entity as well, this should help

    Hi partner,

The location path is Settings > Business > Templates, so check whether you can access template from it.

If not, please see the following solutions.

    1. Add Settings > Business > Templates back to your environment, so that you can see templates there.

Go to Settings > Customizations > Customize the System, click Client Extensions, edit Site Map.

In the site map editor, add a sub area under Business group, set its URL to /tools/templates/templates.aspx. Save and publish.

    2. The templates you listed are all document templates, which are stored in the Document Template entity. So we can search for them in the advanced find.
