cash drawer closed but still says its's waiting for cash drawer to close

I am incredibly frustrated and need help fast!! the cash drawer opens for a sale as well as all other buttons that require it to open, but when it is time to close it the system says that it is still open!! Do I need to uninstall microsoft dynamics pos? I need to fix this problem asap as I am unable to shut down my computer for every transaction..Going nuts, and needing help. Nicki
