D365FO reusing unused number sequnce even though number sequence setup is not marked as continuous

Hi All,

I have an issue where unsued numbers in the number sequence of many form (purchase order, Sales order, Purch req, Projects) are being reused. I have un marked continuous check box for all the number sequences but still system is trying to reuse the numbers.

This is a causing lot of confusion for us as newly created record is taking old number and it is very difficult to look up on the recently created records.

Am i missing any setup here ? please help me fix this issue.

    Hi Nikolaos,

I have unmarked 'Continuos' check box and status list is only updated or used in case of continuous check box is marked as yes.

    Hi Akshay,

If you set the field continuous on the number sequence to be enabled. then deleted number will be put in a status list.

If you are unmarked continuous, I think you need to delete the numbers that are reused. Keep the valid number for the next one.

Please make sure that the Status list of the number sequence is empty, and "Next value" field has some value that is not yet used.
