Yes, I have third party tool to use Dynamics 365 Bing Maps. Here it is!MappyField 365, a Dynamics CRM mapping plugin, allows users to visualise CRM data on maps while also supporting Power Apps (CDS). With features such as shortest route first, territory management, geo-analytical dashboard, live user tracking, heat maps, and more, this easy-to-integrate plugin assists sales and marketing managers in effectively managing their teams' daily activities.Hope it helps!
Hi Kashif,
I think, the first half of the question is answered very well. I’m adding my reply on the second half of question: “Is there is any thirty party tool to use?”
Maplytics is one of the first geo-analytical mapping solutions to be Certified for Microsoft Dynamics 365 (CfMD). It is a powerful mapping tool natively built inside Dynamics 365/CRM environment, powered by Bing Maps. Apart from showing address location of the data point, Maplytics assist users with proximity search, Territory Management, Routing, Heat Maps and dashboard for real-time data visualization. Thanks!
One more thing to add, since i'm in the process of using bing map in crm 365 online. Yes, there's one checkbox in regards to bingmap. On premise, there is another field to input bing map key, but there isn't one for you to input key if you're online. After that you're good with out of the box entities.
Now.. to run bing map in a webresource, and you don't enter a key in your js code, you'll get the regular annoying message.
So do we need dev key if you're online and you're developing custom webresource?
Good point Barbara,
In Dynamics 365 / Online CRM Versions, you need not enter a Bing Map Key.
For Online tenants, the Bing Maps service should automatically display a map of the address within CRM.
However, instead of the map, if you find a "Click here to view the map" link, it means that the map is not supported. This is so, because Bing Maps are not available in all countries, regions, or languages.
Refer to this link for more documentation -> technet.microsoft.com/.../dn659862.aspx
Is the Maps keys needed for CRM online 2016? I don't see that in the setup.
Hi,
Refer this article to enable Bing Maps: technet.microsoft.com/.../dn659862.aspx
For Setup you can refer this: xrm.com/bing-maps-setup
Thanks.
Along with checking the 'Show Bing Maps on forms', you also need to enter the 'Bing Maps Key' in the text box below to activate Bing maps.
This is totally free of cost. You need to sign up at https://www.bingmapsportal.com/ if you have not already done it.
Please refer to this link on how to obtain a 'Map Key' -> http://xrm.com/bing-maps-setup/
