Word Templates how to wrap text

On GP2010 my client would like their SOP blank invoice templates to wrap the item number and item description fields. I have selected Table Properties from the field menu and chosen Text Wrapping - Around.

However, it does not wrap.

You are limited by what you can do in report writer.   It would have to be done there first to be done in Word.   I have had this request as well.

I think we can accomplish this 2 ways - 1. Remove the divider line between these 2 fields from the Word Template and make them close, if you want any dash or separator add a split between these 2 fields and then add the separator. 2. Item Desc. itself is a calculated field. You may again create another item desc. as calculated field in Report Writer and wrap it there instead of doing it in Word. Then import the field on the word template.

    Hi Linda,

In report writer the field description is actually a calculated field. It decides whether you want to use the customer item description or your company's item description. If you want your invoice to wrap the description, put the actual description field in the cell instead of the calculated field. Remember, the calculated field can only display 80 characters and I have found the other solutions to be choppy. Also, you can't get rid of the extra height in the line if you nest two calc fields. The other thing you need to do is add that field to the Report Writer report and make it wide enough on the RW layout so that the entire description will print. Do the same thing for the item number.

    Kind regards,

    Leslie
