Problem: Ribbon Workbench doesn't load custom javascript

Hey guys,

I have a problem with Ribbon Workbench. I have a dialog and a button that supposed to trigger that dialog. On Ribbon, I've tried to Add action, actually, tried to add my custom javascript, but RW doesn't see any of my custom javascripts, only system javascripts. Then I tried to add a picture as custom resource, and RW can load picture, but can't load javascript. That confused me even more... I've seen simular topics on this forum, but the answer is always about browser, and that didn't help me. So, it isn't about browser... If anyone has an idea what could be the problem, please let me know.

p.s. my CRM is 2016

Hello Milan,

Try to add your JavaScript Webresource to Solution you open with Ribbon Workbench.

I'm really sorry but I don't see where you referenced JavaScript webresource... Have I missed something?

I've added javascript in my CRM solution, and then when I loaded that CRM solution from Ribbon Workbench, and in RW when I clicked Add action to add javascrpipt, I can't see that javascript (from my solution) but only see system javascript

Milan,

This version of Ribbon Workbench is in Beta so it can have issues. I would suggest to get in touch with author of tool - ribbonworkbench.uservoice.com

As a possible workaround you can use SilverLight version (you will have to use IE of FF browsers for that) or XrmToolbox with Ribbon Workbench plugin - www.xrmtoolbox.com/Plugins.html

If there are too many webresources they may not show in the dropdown - try adding part of the name of the webresource you want to select and searching using that.
