hi

Can anyone help explain how Purchase Agreements work?

Can you link multiple PO's to an agreement? Can a 'cap' be enforced on the expenditure?

thanks

    Hi James Solomon,

    Refer this docs.microsoft.com/.../purchase-agreements

Yes there can be multiple purchase orders link to a purchase agreement. You can cap the agreement commitment and AX will not allow to trade above that.

Thanks for the responses, Sagar, and Yohann.

Sagar, you say that you can 'cap' the agreement commitment. Where do I set that up?

In my example, I created a PA for 15,000. Then created and confirmed a PO for 14,000. Then created and confirmed a second PO for 2,500.

I would expect the system to stop/error/warn on confirmation of the second PO.. or am I missing something?

    Thanks

    Hi James Solomon,

In the purchase agreement make sure you check "Max as enforced" check mark in the lines if you want that you should not sell more or buy more than the agreement quantity.
