Hi All,

I'm trying to understand how the Start Date of a production order is calculated. When you refresh a Production Order I guess it calculates the times of the routings and takes that away from the due date? How / where in the code do such calculations take place, and if I was to say for example, simply make the Start Date 14 days before the Due Date, how could I achieve this?

Which production order are you talking about.

Planned ,Firm Planned or Released.

I am talking about when you first Refresh a Planned Production Order.

Hi Lewishhh,

Starting Date of the production order:

"If you perform forward planning the Refresh Production Order batch job will base the planning forward from the starting time and the starting date. The program will calculate the ending time and the ending date. If you process backward scheduling the Starting Time and the Starting Date will be calculated by the planning based on the ending date and the ending time."

There is InitRecord function in Table 5405 Production Order perform dates first calculation. Take a look at this will provide you more information:
