Change Organizational Structure in Financial Dimensions

Hi, we are making changes to our organizational structure.  If we change the financial dimension on an active project, is there a way for all the prior posted transactions to adjust to the new financial dimension or will the transactions that have already been posted stay in the old financial dimension combination?
 
Example:
Current fin dim on a project is DAL-120-1200
New fin dime on the same project will be AUS-120-1200
 
When we pull our financial report will all the older transactions that posted when the fin dim was DAL-120-1200 show up in the new report for AUS-120-1200 or will we only get the transactions that posted after we made the change?

    posting will stay in that way as it was before change, postings after the orga change will have the new structure.

    Hi Ferguson,

    As Andreas mentioned, the already-posted transactions will not be impacted. If you need to report on the new dimension, you can consider creating corrective transactions. So, minus the old dimension and new postings on the new dimension.

    It sounds like there is not an easier way to move the prior transactions to the new financial dimension other than backing out the old and entering it again with the new for each posted transaction.  We were hoping for something easier as we have quite a few but will move forward with that process.
