Voided check sitting in bank deposit window.

Hi - I've been on maternity leave from work for 10 weeks. While I was gone, a check was deposited on 10/22. The check was then NSF on 10/25. My replacement somehow first voided the payment in receivables, then voided the deposit and reented the deposit. So I still have a $173.00 check to be deposited, but the payment has already been voided and I cannot revoid the payment. How is this happening? How do I get the check out of my deposit window?

Thanks for your help :)

    Jacqueline,

Congratulations on the new little one!  Try this - go into Bank Deposits and select 'Clear Unused Receipts' in the receipt Type.  Select the receipt to clear and click Post.  The receipt will be cleared with no impact on the checkbook or GL.
