Gen Journal Lines won't delete after posting

Hi,

our company has a customized version of the Gen. Journals of Business Central.

If we post lines, we get the entries in the Gen. Ledger Entry - However the Journal Lines won't dissapear (delete) and the notification says "There is nothing to post" (Text002)

We can't really find the right lines of codes or codeunits for this problem.

Can anybody help? Thanks!

Greets,

Derek

    Hi,

Generally if you post the Gen. Journals lines it automatically deletes all the lines after posting,, Can you please check if there is any customization done or any extension installed?

Are you sure that you have not used a recurring journal?

If so that is expected behavior.

Hi, this seems to be a problem with customization, if you can't find the problem by looking at the code, you can try debugging.

Also, I don't know if your customization is related to the feature below, but I hope it can give you some hints.

New Posted General Journal page in Dynamics 365 Business Central 2020 Release Wave 2

    Hi Guys,

thanks for your answers. We already spent a lot of hours debugging the code, in order to find out where micorosoft actually performs the delete operation. Do you know which prodecure and codeunit this is done?

We already checked your artikel regarding the "New Posted General Page". We can double check depenendcies.

The next step for us would be writing a customized delete function, if we can't find the issue. We would really like to avoid that.

    Regards,

    Derek

Hi, Maybe you can check the function below.

    codeunit 13 "Gen. Jnl.-Post Batch" -> local procedure ProcessLines(var GenJnlLine: Record "Gen. Journal Line") -> UpdateAndDeleteLines(GenJnlLine);
