Hi everyone,

I have my app developed in the 70 million range (partner´s range), but it is not in AppSource yet. Is it possible to install it using the "Upload Extension" utility?
while my app is in the AppSource approval process .. what alternatives do I have?

Thanks in advance!

We can only upload PTE apps i.e., 50000-99999 series.

We have to install ISV apps from AppSource or from VSCode (for testing) only.

Hi, You cannot use Upload Extension, but you can directly Publish to Sandbox from VS Code, this is the same as Docker. However, this is not recommended. When AppSource is approved, only one side can be installed if the version is same.

So if you don’t want to change the Object range to PTE (50000~99999), you can only wait for Microsoft’s approval to complete. Now the approval speed has increased a lot.

    Hope this will help.

    Thanks.

Hi everyone, thanks for the responses.

@YUN ZHU, why is not recommended directly Publish to Sandbox from VS Code? Could someone download symbols and my source code? For this I want to generate my app, hide the code and install using "Upload Extension". In docker sandbox environment I was able to do it using console commands (I know that in on-cloud there are no console commands).

    it's possible? I'm wrong?

    Thanks in advance!

Hi, not related to code security this time, if you prevent your source code from being downloaded, you can refer to following link.

    https://yzhums.com/17688/

Let's get back to the topic, this is related to the scope of extensions (Global, PTE, Dev).

If you install directly from VS Code, there are PTE and Global in SaaS with the same app ID, the same name, and the same version. There may be some changes now, but  according to my previous test, when AppSource is approved, because you have already installed the PTE version in SaaS, an error will be reported when you install AppSource with same version.
