I'm new to Dynamics CRM, so please bear with me. I'm trying to figure out the cause of a problem.
There is a page where a user can edit an entity called an "Activity". There is a field called "Follow-up Activity". This field is a combobox which allows the user to specify the activity type of an activity to follow the current activity. For example, this could be used to indicate that a phone call will be followed up with an e-mail.
Included in the buttons at the top of the page are [Save] and [Save & Close]. The odd behavior that I must fix is that when the user makes a selection in the "Follow-up Activity" field and then clicks [Save & Close], a warning message appears in a dialog: "Your changes have not been saved. To stay on the page so that you can save your changes, click Cancel."
That makes no sense at all to me. Why would clicking on a button that says [Save & Close] cause such a message to appear?
I have investigated the plugins registered with this entity and I think I've ruled out the plugins as the cause. I am new to this Dynamics CRM system, so I wouldn't be surprised if the answer seems like it should be obvious to someone more experienced.
The Dynamics CRM version I'm using is 2011.
