I'm a bit lost regarding the Role license that i need to assign to user for D365.
Last month when i was creating our Security Roles i could click on the link 'View permissions' and on that page it shows what was de license needed for each permission, but now when i enter that page the column showing this information is no longer available, i tried to insert it manualy but it doestn show.

Other thing is that now shows a 'general' license for the Security Role on the Top of the page.

But when i enter the LCS to check how many licenses i need of each kind, the Role License that the panel is requesting for this particular Security Role is different from what is showing on the page mentioned above inside D365. LCS requests 'Project Operations' but View permissions says 'Team Member'

So, i need help to understand which information is the right one because i'm revising all our security roles to adaquate them but dont know if i can rely on whats showing
Also, if there is a way to re-activate the column showing the required license for each permission.

As we are in public preview for the USG, I believe you can use License usage summary report for this info.

Hi @Sohaib Cheema, thank you for the reply.
Unfortunatelly our environment is still on version 10.0.42 and the feature that you pointed was release only in version 10.0.43 so i will need to wait until our system updates to use it.

Also i was looking for more information about this topic and found that the columns that i was using got removed in some minor update recently.

There is no other way to visualize those permission/license?

For the moment to survive, you can deploy a new environment of version 10.0.44 and then export your custom security object from old-versioned system and import these in 10.0.44.

Once you will have update on all environments, you should be in a better position.

What you are trying to do/achieve ? Are you developing the new security roles? Or is it, that you are looking at the license needs of standard security roles only?

As I understand it, version 10.0.44—rather than 10.0.43—is required to verify the role license.

Hi Lucas,

You found the KB item where it is announced that the legacy license calculation is sometimes incorrect and for that reason deprecated. You are correct that LCS (but also PPAC) has new license reports. They can show different license requirements, but there can be a bug with wrong meta data.
I would suggest to spin of at least one environment in your tenant with version 10.0.44 as the new User Security Governance gives insights in the details. Coming Thursday, Alex Meyer and me will present about the license changes where we will also explain how to check the details why a role has another license and determine if this is correct or not.

Yng Lih, While writing my last reply, I missed your comment. Note that User Security Governance is in preview in 10.0.43, but the details on the Licenses usage summary page is the same. So, you can verify details in both 10.0.43 and 10.0.44.
