Alerts on Inventory transactions using Security roles

Hi Everyone,

Users must be notified when they send a filling station to a customer.

Users require notification alerts on 5-7 SKUs. they need an alert when a Specific SKU has been sold.

It would be best if the user could set their own alerts. It seems that non of the security roles we have is able to create these alerts on the inventory transaction screen. However, it works with sys administration. Can you help find out which privilege/ menu option is needed to create the alerts?

we should find out which security roles provide Inventory transaction alerts.

your suggestions would be highly appreciated.

    The ability to use alerts is contained on the standard role "System user".

    This role is added by default when users are created, I usually recommend that this role is not removed from the users.

    The privilege "Maintain and use alerts" is the specific privilege which allow users to use alerts.

    The users will of course also need to have access to the specific areas such as inventory transactions, to be able to setup the alerts there.

    Creating alerts on inventory transactions is not recommended.  Its going to be slow and its going to be a performance hit.  It would be better to set alerts on Sales orders that move to a status of "Delivered" AND contain the specific SKU's or you could put an alert on packing slips posted with the specific SKU's.

    Can a user create their own alerts using this option for a specific item?
