CRM2013 Resolve Case HTML Escape codes showing in Title/Description boxes

I recently discovered some strange behaviour in two copies of our CRM 2013 deployments and would like to confirm if this problem exists with others?

When we resolve a case we've started to use dates in the Resolution Title and/or description boxes. For instance if we've booked an engineer to attend to a customers call we will enter in the Case Resolution box "Job Booked 25/09/2014".

However I've just started to notice that then the record is redisplayed within the case activities, the dates "/" charters are being rendered with the HTML escape codes / See the attached image.

In the above image both of the case resolutions shown are on the same case. The first one is what happens if you resolve the case "outside" from the case homepage view. The second version is what happened when I opened the case and resolved it from "inside" on the open record.

I can't explain this different behaviour. Knowing I had another version of CRM 2013 (without service pack 1 installed and minus the service module) I tried the same test on those. On that version resolving a case inside or outside caused the HTML escape codes to be rendered in place of the / (forward slash) charter.

Q. Is this a known problem?

Q. Why does one copy of CRM behave differently to another running on the same server?

Q. Is there a fix for this?

Many thanks

Steve

    Hi Jithesh

Yes we did get this resolved, but we had to log a call with Microsoft. This is a problem with the RTM version of CRM2013. It was fixed in Service Pack 1 Update 1, but this information is not mentioned in the update log. If you have this problem then I guess you must still be on the RTM version.... Is that correct?

    Good Luck

    Steve
