AX2012 Workflow overview workitems assigned to worker

Hello,

I am looking for an overview which shows me which workitems are assigned to a specific worker, but I can't seem to find such a form.

When a worker becomes ill (and thus had no opportunity to set workflor delegation rules) an overview like this enables you to transfer the workitems to another worker. I tried setting a delegation rule afterwards, but the rule seems to ignore existing assigned workitems and only delegates new workitems.

Does anybody know an overview like this, or another option to be able to view and transfer workitems assigned to a specific worker?

Best regards, Dennis

Workflow is tied to a workflow version which you can see in the workflow history. So any changes to the workflow will reflect only in the new ones as changes would create a new workflow version. For the exiting work items, you need to go the Inquiry> workflow history and select the individual workflow and click "Reassign" button.

    Thanks for your reply.

The workflow history form does not (and cannot) provide the assigned user/worker name.

I did find the form WorkflowWorkList in AOT which does provide this, and provides the option to reassign the workitem. I can't find where this form is called from functionally though, if at all.

    Best regards, Dennis

    Hi Dennis,

This form is the listpage used for all forms in the Work items section in the Home > Area page menu.

This form is filtering items based on "my pending approvals". So only yourself in stead of other persons.

Basically the information you need is in the table WorkflowWorkItemTable.

You can create a new form or try to use other filters on this listpage.

I am not sure what form you are referring to workflow history form when you say it can't provide assigned users while you say you can't locate the form.

If you are using AX2012, go to home, area page > Inquiry > workflow.

    Hello Dwij,

I am aware of the form you are mentioning. For this specific scenario it lacks the ability to find open workitems per user; the form works based on workflow version, which has a 1:many link to workitems. Therefore searching on username is not possible on that form.

Opening the form WorkflowWorklist from AOT does not apply a filter to the form, and it enables searching on assigned userID; so that basically fits the needs.

Knowing there is standard form capable of doing this answers my question, thanks for that Arnaud. I will look in to creating a new form or calling the WorkflowWorklist form with different filters from a menu item.

    Best regards, Dennis

If you go to your own "Work items assigned to me" list page and then Filter > Advanced Filter and replace your own userid with theirs you will be able to their work items.

If you then "Save as" the filter with their name, over time you build a useful list of saved filters to quickly process other users' workflows.
