Hi Guys,

I am trying to import the solution from CRM On-Premise 8.2 to CRM Online 9.0. Unfortunately, I'm facing issue for each entity import. It gives import failure message as "Inavlid Argument" Following is the error log message:

"Invalid Argument. : System.ArgumentNullException: Value cannot be null. Parameter name: Could not find PrimaryField for entity "entityname".

Please help me out on this. Thanks.

    Hi Vishal,

I think while converting you lost Primary field of an entity(may be all). check in the Customization.xml if you can see the primary/guid field.

    Hi Rawish,

I also saw such error for the first time. "entityname" is the masked name. Let me explain you the process in detail.

The customizations which I am trying to export, are the components of Managed Solution. To export those components, I ran a SQL script on the Managed Solution that makes the solution as Unmanaged.  Then I created one solution and added single entity with Primary Field.

I am getting the same error even for the soultion with single entity.

    Hi Vishal,

Never seen this error message before. Did you mask the "entityname" or it was some real entity name( the culprit entity)

if error is same as above , i.e not mentioned any attribute or entity name, I would suggest you raise a ticket with MS as its very internal error. Otherwise do below.

Try to minimize the number of entities you are importing i.e break them to 50% and import see if that is succesfully imported. if not break it down further.

doing this we can narrow down the problem.
