    Hi,

Another thing you may want to look at is one of the options in GL setup. In the General Ledger Setup window there is a checkbox that is checked by default to Allow Deletion of Saved Transactions. If you uncheck this box, then transactions that have been saved to a batch cannot be deleted.

    Hope this helps,

    Leslie

Hi, you cannot recover a deleted journal entry. Once its deleted, its gone forever. If it resulted from a posting in a sub module, and you know the transactions involved - look at these transactions and recreate the GL Journal.

The only way to block deleting of journals would be to disable the Delete button both on the Transaction Entry window and the Batch window (since deleting a batch deletes all transactions in that batch). You could do this through modifier or using VBA.

    Best regards,

    Ian.
