Hi, All

I am experiencing below error while installing Ax 2012 R3 database component with SQL Server 2016 Enterprise edition.

The prequisite validation showing below error

However service is running

any help guidance would be appreciated

    Hi Asim Saeed,

    Are you using CU8 installer? Because it does not support SQL 2016, so you need to use CU11 installer.

    Thanks Ievgen, yes i am using the AX basic installer sp this issue of prerequiste validation error is basically due to this CU update?

    And instead of using basic AX R3 installer you want me to use CU11 installer for AX DB component.?

    Yes , you must use Cu 11 installer

    Just to clear my self, for a fresh installation also?

    Actually i am working on Two box solution where i am first installing AX 2012 R3 DB component with SQL server 2016 Enterprise edition on Server 1 and AOS on Server 2

    Right now server 1 has only SQL server 2016 and now i am doing a fresh installtion of DB componenet.

    If your intention is to install cu8 you obviously need to use cu8 installer, but it does not support SQL 2016, if CU11 is ok for you, go grab CU11 installer and use it for everything.

    My intention is to install CU11 which supports SQL server 2012 Enterprise edition.

    So since it will a fresh installation, i need to follow slipstream in order to use the CU11 installer i believe.

    PLus for slipstream i do need to download

    Cumulative update 11 slipstream which is different form Cumulative update 11 right? may be this is a weired question but i will check this tomorrow with the partner.

    Try to download latest  available installation media from partner source first, it should be CU10 or 11, I don't really remember, in this case you won't need to do anything else.

    Why cu10? It needs to be cu11 to be used for.slipstream

    I am experiencing below error

    Checking for the existence of the service 'MSSQLFDLauncher' on the machine 'HQDEVSQLS03'.

    Check failed.

    However service is already installed and running
