Negative Qty on sales process

we have a problem on retail pos

cashier can add negative qty in sales process

not return process.

for example the cashier write -1*

will be asked for barcode then asked for manager privilege

if he press ESC , he can complete the process without any problem

how to prevent cashier to write negative quantity ?

Hi Sayed,

What is the version you have ? i have tested return product permission on Standard AX 2012 R3 CU13 and it's not allowed to make return product if you cancel the manger permission form .

version is cu12

and the problem happens in sales process , not return process.

Hi Sayed,

Return Product operation can be used by set qty -1 or add this operation to your layout and press on it ,

As aforementioned the operation permission is working as expected on CU 13 , so i strongly recommend you to install the recent kernel and test it again .

Hi shimaa,

the permission on return product is correct , no problem with it

the problem in product sales

the cashier can add negative quantity in "product sales" to reduce the receipt total amount if he want to manipulate.

also we make workaround by keyboard mapping,

if the cashier writes "-" will be mapped to price check screen

but it make problem when we search for receipt or customer

so we need to prevent the cashier for adding negative quantity.

Hi shimaa,

we'll try update kernal,

and trying another workaround by setting the maximum return line amount to be "0.1" and minimum

return line amount to be "0.1"

I see now , you are using "Set qty" operation . I can Repro the issue using Set qty when i cancel manger permission screen the QTY updated . So you need to open service request with Support for further investigation and escalate it to product group if needed .
