A user is trying to setup a new contract but she gets a message that "This Contract Number already exists". When I look at the Contract Maintenance window and try to search for the contract No, it is listed but there is no contract ID or name for the No. If you try to select the contract you get a message that "please select a record first". What tables do I need to look at to clear this incomplete record?

Thanks for the stored procedure. I will give it a try next time. I was able to clear the contract using check links.
If you have access & permissions to execute SQL scripts on SQL Server, I would recommend you to create this stored procedure "spSearchOnAllDB", that can be obtained from this post: blogs.msdn.com/.../spsearchonalldb-sql-stored-procedure-to-search-an-entire-database.aspx.
You can then track down all tables & columns that contain this rogue contract number. This will certainly help you to understand the list of tables for a particular transaction, though it would be too technical, it's still worth to know.
I did find the rogue contract number is pa000002 and deleted it but it still shows up on the contract maintenance window.
the svc tables you suggested are empty. Let me add that we name our contract ids and contract nos the same. With that said, I did find the contract id i am having problems with setup with a mismatched contract no. I deleted that one. The one with the contract no i am having issues with that doesn't have a contract id, name or customer id is still out there. what table might i find that in?

Contract Line: SVC00601
If you don't find sufficient information on these two tables against that contract number, you can be rest assured that this contract is kind of orphaned.
