Hello guys,

After switching NAV2013 to a brand new server. Dynamics instance stop working randomly.

I start noticing a patter that services stop when Dynamics got busy.

After researching the codes on event viewer, the problem is generated by .NET Framework Garbage Collector.

Unfortunately the blog with the solution mention about run certain code under visual studio and I'm not sure if that is the right path to follow. I would like to share with you first and see if anyone had the same issue before.

Down below is the error message from event viewer.

    Suresh,

In my case, I have not install any new object under development. I did move database to new server.

I'm sorry for the late response. After a deeper analysis, we have identify the possible add on that is causing the issue. Tonight we will install new dll's developed by the third party application.

    I will keep you updated.

    Thank you

    Update...

Definitely the issue is related with a third party application that interact with Dynamics. Some how there is a problem with the Garbage Collector file (clr.dll).

We have installed new dll files and the issue persist. Even we have created separate NAV instances to split the load between RTC users and the third party app with no luck.

I'm waiting for developers (third party app) to provide a good fix.

    Final Update....

Finally the issue has been found out. The problem was originated by dll files that come with a third party application installed on Dynamics.

After explaining all troubleshooting done to developers, they did release a hotfix to solve the problem.

It took me more than a month to find out about is since so many variables were added at the same time (windows updates, new server, new windows server version, new version of third party sw).

Thank you for your help guys.

Dear Alex. I have just the Same Problem with NAV2017 CU3. NAV Server Crashes When accessing cardterm64.dll from telecash. Also Error as shown above. Crl.dll Problem . What was the solution of your third party developers ?

    Hi Skyediver,

Yes, the problem I had was involved a third party Add-on dll's. After disabling the printing feature from the Add-on, everything went back to normal.

At the beginning all sides (Microsoft and Add-on developers) were asking to install latest windows and .NET updates but that was not my problem.

If you have Add-ons installed on your environment, try to run them on separate instances, that will help you to troubleshoot faster the issue.
