Hi,
Can you have different units in your forecast?
Hi Guy! Thank you so much. Do you know what fields are required to be filled out for this entity? Also, after uploading, how does one view this forecast in Dynamics?
Hi Antigonie
Dynamics 365 F&O (Supply Chain Management) has an out-of the-box data entity called Demand forecast entries. You can use this. You can see it in action with Excel if you go to Master planning > Forecasting > Manual forecast entry > Demand forecast lines and hit the Open in Microsoft Office button. Under OPEN IN EXCEL, choose Demand forecast entries. Note that Excel is not the only way to interact with a data entity.
Hi, i am currently on Dynamics 365, and i cannot see any Import Forecast option. How would i go about importing a forecast in Dynamics? Or is that not standard?
Hi Folks,
Requirement is to Generate Demand forecasting in AX 2012 R3 using Sales transactions data from external Retail POS system.
What are the ways to use Sales data - using Excel files for DIXF or SSIS or any SQL Database links.
What will be the mandatory fields to consider from Sales transactions when used Sales order Header and Sales order Lines templates?
Are there any better ways to generate Demand forecast using Sales transaction data?
Suggestions and guidelines are highly appreciated.
Thank you in advance.
Have you found it efficient to use standard AX "Import Forecast" where the only forecast is what is being imported.
i.e. All forecasts are negotiated with a small number of customers?
Hi ABTS ,
I am working on importing data into forecast sales by using DIXF, but i'm facing the same situation as you faced earlier , as data is visible in the table but not in the demand forecast sales form. can you help me in this regard.
Thanks in advance,
Srikanth Adi
Hi, by Inventory Dimension Code, do you mean the InventDimId?
Hello ABTS,
How did you include a Inventory Dimension code? Because I am also running into the same issue where I can import data but the Form will not display it
Thanks,
Al
Thank you very much!
I could manage to view the record from demand forecast form.
I needed to include Inventory Dimension Code on the import list.
Sincerely,
ABTS
