Project Accounting -Time sheet profit amount

Is there any way we can default the billing rates for TS on PA from the Budget (Profit amount). Each project has a different rate and I don't want to setup position rate tables or cost categories specifically by Project. Please help.

RE: Project Accounting -Time sheet profit amount

Hi, Andreaies. Short answer is yes you can. You need to do two things:

    1. In Setup-Project-Timesheet Setup, make sure your "Default Profit Types From" field  is set to "Budget".

    2. In the Project Maintenance card, you will need to open the Budget, and fill in the rates per unit for each TS budget line, in the Profit Amount field.

You have probably already figured this out, but note that this will only work for you if you are charging the same rate always for each TS budget line, no matter who is entering the time.
