Hello experts,

I found there is a reset option for the UDE environment. What does the RESET do? Clean up all the data and code?

Hi LB developer,

can you specify what application you use or provide a screenshot from the interface? Basically, and on the description above, find the following answer:

1) Resetting a sandbox or developer environment:

- Deletes all data and customizations (apps, flows, connectors, backups...)
- Reprovisions the environment to factory settings
- Is irreversible (data cannot be recovered after reset)

2) When using UDE (User-Driven Environment) reset in Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (D365 F&O), the process and considerations differ slightly from Power Platform environments. In D365 F&O, a UDE reset typically refers to resetting a Tier-1 (developer) or sandbox environment that was deployed using self-service deployment via Lifecycle Services (LCS). This will:

- Reprovision the environment
- Remove all customizations and data
- Reapply the base application and platform

@LB developer It's s standard Power Platform feature that you can read about in documentation, but as far as I know, it isn't supported for UDE. I'm not sure what happens if you try it; I'd expect an error.

@ANInnoSolutions Please don't make up meaningless answers if you have no idea about the topic. There is no reset option for non-UDE, reset don't do what you said, UDE is neither User-Driven Environment, Tier-1 environment or a sandbox and it's not deployed from LCS. You throw terms around but the sentences don't make sense.

Posting misleading replies is worse then posting nothing, because it confuses people looking for questions. I guess that the purpose of your activity in this forum is promoting your company, but showing that you have no idea what you're talking about isn't the best approach to marketing, in my opinion.
This isn't the first misleading reply of yours, therefore I (as a forum moderator) felt I had to address it.
