Hi,
We are migrating our existing CRM data to Microsoft Dynamics D365 9.1 using the KingswaySoft connectors in SISS packages. I have migrated a number of system users which do not exist in the new CRM system as they have left the company and are no longer present in Active Directory. When migrating data and setting the ownerid of an entity to one of the migrated users this works as expected. However when setting createdby of an entity to one of the migrated users this actually sets it to the user being used to migrate the data. Any help in how to set createdby to a migrated system user will be gratefully received.
Thanks, Paul
That is something with Kingsway soft. Will need to check their docs
This is due to that the createdby field requires a valid licensed user. When an inactive user is used as the input, it will default to the connection user, this is the behavior of the platform, there isn't a proper way to handle this, unfortunately. You could set a default user using the Default Value option if the field is configured to perform a text lookup which might help make the situation slightly better. The Default Value option is available in the Text Lookup configuration window.
